you can double the life if you get an optimate battery maintainer.

I still have the original in my 08 and she is still running strong! battery maintainer and proper maintenance are a must to make any battery last.

If you don't want to buy a Battery Tender, just pull the battery out for the off season, and charge it a couple times over the summer. I have the ori battery in my 2008 Nytro, and I typically get 5-6 years on a streetbike battery.

Its $80 for an Interstate battery, just buy a new one every 3-4 years and error on the side of caution. There is no maintenance you can do on a sealed battery.
Yea I just changed mine. It was activated 08/08. Have replaced it with a new Interstate with 310cca. I have always had a battery tender on mine, and still only got 3.5 years on a Yuasa.

Just over 3 years in my 08 with completely ignoring it. I even used it to jump my crappy old subaru a couple times. No problems, knock on wood.

Changed my original battery on my 2009 with no tender, this January after our first trip. it was sluggish in the -15C weather. I knew it would not start the sled in -35C so why take the chance. Change it out every 3 years.

Still have the battery from my 05 Vector running my quad and my 08 Nytro battery is still going strong with over 8000 miles on the engine. I use a CTEK charger because of their desulphation technology.
mine lasted three years then it wouldn't take charge. Usually they last about 5 years (at least that's my experience) anything more is a bonus.

I am still running my original Yuasa battery in my 2009 Nytro with 13,000 miles on it. Always have it on a trickle charger. Never had an issue with it so far....
