Battery recall on certain serial numbers

Got new recall today at the dealership for the battery on certain fx and rtx 09 nytros.There are certain serial # that have batteries with too much iron in them and they can discharge quickly when not in use.The batties in question are the ytx20lb-s.Check with your dealer.

Its funny that they would use the ytx20l-bs in the nytro. That is the same battery used in the 03-05RX, which they switched to a ytx14-bs for 06+ in order to save weight (3 pounds).

Wonder if they changed something in the electronics that required a battery change? Was there a difference in capacity or Ampacity?

Symptom: On some affected units, it is possible
the battery electrolyte contains an excessive amount of iron. The battery may self-discharge faster than normal when not in use for long periods of time.

Cause: Improper electrolyte was provided from the battery manufacturer.

Remedy: Replace the battery assembly

Dont look into this any more or any less. no electronic changes nothing just to much Iron!
