Bearing repack

Its a good thing I read this, I just did my brothers attak and my nytro and I packed the bearings as full as I could get them. looks like I'm going to be opening them back up and taking some grease out...

Also I just used a napa wheel bearing grease.
I did the exact same thing, even used the same grease. :o|

I'm not too worried about the grease, not doing well in the cold, I'm more worried about it going everywhere when it heats up and expands

Yeah, I'm not worried about the grease either just banging my head cause I have to go back in and take some out.

So, say a guy did put in a little too much grease, should he go back in and take some out? Or just leave it and see if it becomes a "mess" after running it a while? Just wondering how exact or important the 1/2 to 1/3 instructions are. Thanks.

The odd time when I put too much in, it just made a mess. I do check the drive axle brg. at the speedo periodically at 1st to make sure the track side seal does not pop out.

I had the very same question...And to add:

What do you guys think about using this stuff? It's not exactly cold-weather grease but I figured it would do...?

Not that i dissagree, but our group packs them full every year and i've never heard or seen any extra grease flung all over. I pay close attention to that stuff too because of clutches.
