Have my 08 rtx on a stand, snap the throttle and let it come back to an idle, the track likes to keep going. How do you go about adjusting belt deflection on these things?
I’ve also got a whining noise, similar to a sewing machine that seems to happen at 20kmh. I have a feeling it’s the parking brake, anybody know what could be causing this? I believe one of the pads are sloppy inside the piston.

did you adjust the chain tension on the chaincase? might be too tight.

i would check it 1st. it should be finger tight and backed off 1/2 a turn for best results.

Like said above check the chain tension. There is always some whine on the Yamaha 4 strokes atleast all of mine do and I have over 30,000 on 4 strokes and few friends with them same thing have chain case whine not super loud but you can hear it.
As for track spinning on the stand mine spins very slowly if I burp the throttle and let it come back down there really is no load on it.

With the back of the sled suspended you want the track to turn very slowly on it’s own.
There are three small bolts on the back of the secondary clutch, remove the 1mm washer under each one to loosen belt deflection. Make sure you hang onto them, you’ll likely be putting them back in after a couple of hundred miles.
