Bender stage 2 and I am using autometer temp / boost guages. Start sled and let idle and she warns upto operating temp in approx. 3 min's while sitting outside in -30 deg. C temps. Drive approx 500 feet and the temp guage maxes out at 250....idiot light on the dash does not go on and the sled seems to run fine?
I did replace the coolant this year (Prestone 50/50 pre-mix) and bled the coolant system after re-installing the engine to ensure no air in the lines. Coolant is flowing...backed off the return coolant line on the turbo to confirm flow. We have lots of fresh powder so issues with snow getting to the heat exchangers.....I could fry egg's on the running boards yesterday......way to hot for bare hands to touch...I kid you not!
Any ideas on what to check next? I have a new thermostat that I will pop in this evening....after that I am at a loss?
