Seems like I have seen pics of Bender turbo sleds that have a intercooler on them. Talking with a guy that has a bender sled for sale and his does not have a cooler. Can any body explane? His is a stage II.
Any disadvantage to this system other than the little lag it may have?

An intercooler will allow you to run higher boost without engine damage .............Nuff said.

My understanding is Stage one is w/o intercooler, stage two is with intercooler. The intercooler allows for the intake air to get cooled before entering the combustion chamber (cooler air means more oxygen). If you do not have cold air blowing across the intercooler you will not see as big an advantage with it. A nice thing about the rear mounts is the charge tube runs under the tunnel and gets snow against it thereby cooling the intake air (probably better than the intercooler actually does).
