Just want to put a big thanks out to Twisted Boost for loaning me his charge tube for the last week or more. I was able to run the steel charge tube for the last 3 days and found the same problem when riding. Definately not the charge tube causing the problems. Thanks to TB I didn't have to purchase a $300 charge tube to do the testing. If you are ever in my area stop by. The beer is on me.
Oh, and I think I narrowed my issue to the intake system. My sled ran great on the trails and when on wet heavy snow. But every time I went in the deep fluff it ran like poopy. I think the snow is hitting the hot side of the turbo and getting pulled into the intake. I thought the divider I put in would stop this but obviously I need to make some changes. Prolly going with a snorkel of some sort.
Thanks again TB!!!!!

Jon, don't you have a plate underneath the turbo too? That shouldn't be letting anysnow hit the turbo.

Yes I do but there must be a hole or space somewhere that is allowing the steam to get into the intake side. It was so obvious once I got into the deep fluffy stuff. The deeper and finer the powder, the worse the sled ran. There was a point where I couldn't go over 1/4 throttle. Very pathetic and frustrating. I could then go up a hill with heavier wet snow and it would run perfectly. This was all in the same area. I really can't think of anything else that would cause the sled to run this way.
I am going to take the back cover off and see if there is anything obvious. If not I am going to put a snorkel on it. I really don't like the looks of a snorkel but if it makes my sled run in the pow, then so be it.

I just saw this. I 've got a stainless one laying out on my porch LoL !
I found that the jetting required for the titanium tube is way different for the tuning on the stainless one btw.

I remember reading about that. If I remeber correctly you had 140's in with the titanium tube and 130 ish with the steel tube.
With the testing I did this last weekend I don't believe my issues are related to the charge tube. It is leaning toward intake issues. I am going to check it out later today and go from there.

How was it running with the titanium tube? If at all possible I would like to keep the titanium tube, but if it is going to run better with the streal tube I will go that route. I guess I have more testing before I know for sure.
When I ran my sled the other day I had a steel tube on w/130 mains. It was a little lean when WOT up a hill. This was at 4500 ft. elevation. I usually run around this elevation so was going to jet up to 132.5 and go from there.

Just a little update. Put the snorkel on and she is running great!! It didn't hiccup at all, and it feels much stronger. 9#'s now seems like 11#'s before the snorkel. I am a very happy camper.
Now I just have to figure out how to get the oil from draining out when it is stuck uphill. I must have lost a cup after it sat on a 30 degree incline for 10 mins or so. Not cool.

Are you certain your oil pump is moving the volume? My buddies Bender never dumps any oil, mind you he rarely gets stuck either but still I think we would have seen that by now, don't know just a thought.

I might have to check that. I would think if it wasn't it would smoke all the time. Would that be the case? I was thinking about putting a light in line with the oil pump circuit. Then if the pump was not working the light would come on.
