I just bent the rear shock and control rods of the rear suspension and was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues? Cheers!

Were you landing a jump on your tail at full throttle?

I do believe that I can recall that excact scenario although I have done that for several years and many jumps w/ no problems. I guess maybe it was just the right/wrong conditions for it.

Yeah, my theory is that you can get away with it most of the time, but with firm snow and solid traction the track can't spin when you land so all that inertia yanks the rear of the skid up and forward with much greater force than usual. When combined with the weight of the sled coming down something has to give. Usually see broken limiter straps and bent tension rods with the rear shock pushing the pivot over. Oh yeah, bent rails too.

Thank God that there were no bent rails!! I did get very lucky because a buddy of mine just replaced his (one week ago) with a Mtn. Tamer rear skid and had his shock and rods left over so i was able to buy them a lot cheaper than new.

Yep, skid will not take a hard pack landing on it's tail, broke two sets of straps and bend the rails went to Iceage rails and have broken another set of straps but no bend in the rails. Iceage rails are the kind.
