I can't wait to get my '07 Attack GT. :yam: :jump: :4STroke:

The only upgrades I have planned for this year are Bergstrom related and one of them is the Trail Grabbers. After much research, I am planning to install 216 trail grabbers in my 136" Ripsaw Track. After several conversations with Scott Bergstrom I've come to respect him highly. I have also noticed that many members of TotallYamaha seem to have the same level of respect for him.
I know the trail grabbers will not afford me whole shots, but this is not what I'm looking for. I am merely looking for a little stabilization in the corners and a little stability on glare ice. Every time I mention that I plan to install the Trail Grabbers on my Ripsaw Track I am repeatedly being told to be careful, and I am wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the Trail Grabbers damaging their Ripsaw Track. I have also spoken to Scott directly about this concern and he assures me that he has had no issues with installing the Trail Grabbers on the RipSaw Track. If anyone has personal experience with any problems regarding the installation of Bergstrom Trail grabbers on their RipSaw Track, I would greatly appreciate hearing their experience before I do something that will lead to the destruction of my new baby. Thanks.

:dunno:

The only reports I have seen have been favorable, I have not used them. The only damage reported was slight tearing at the base of the lug near the tip of the screw. My plan is to replace my track with the ice ripper, same idea, just molded in from the factory, plus the old ripsaw is easy to resell. As with any metal traction device all tunnel/heat exchanger protectors are mandatory.

They work good in the older finger tracks.

But on a ripsaw? Dont know for absolute sure, but the lugs are real thin on that track. Possibly not hold up so well.

Just thinking, after looking at my track, they may not work as well as I thought. Scott Bergstrom recommended them for the ripsaw? I hope you get some positive feedback before you install them, I would hate to see you make an expensive mistake.

You'll love the Ice Ripper. I put 4000 miles on one last season. Lost 1 stud. IMHO perfect for all around riding. It's enough traction and safety while still allowing track to work. Same track is on 07 Attak GT in garage. Think Snow!

I used the trail grabbers awhile back in a XC700. I put 200+ in the track and lost nearly 1/3 of them in less than 500 miles. The inside of the tunnel and back of the snow flap had dents and gouges from taking the impact of them as they flew out of the track at high speed and numerous lugs had damage to their sides from the grabbers being torn out. I would never use them again except for maybe in a low powered sled like a 340.

ICE RIPPER>>>>>

definately the way to go. i just installed one on my 07 attak, traded in the new take off towards it.... have an ice ripper on wifes vector, this thing works...

not a ice dragger, but definately increases hook up, and greatly decreases stopping distances.

The logging ops, and low-snow conditions are killing us. So are you saying that this track is EUP certified?

I had a sx 700 with 1.25 track and xtc 500 1.00
I instaill 200 on both
they came out and lugs torn out. keep your.
$$$$$$$$$.

IT WILL BE GOOD FOR CANADIAN BUT NOT FOR MI.

I was actually thinking about a Predator/Trail Grabber setup, or a 1.5??? lug with them. Deffinately NOT in a Ripsaw though. And according to Tracks USA, the Ice Ripper studs ARE NOT replaceable.
