Best Carbide for 2006 Apex ER

SNOWTRACKERS if you want positive turning and no darting. Doolys if you want push with no darting. They both turn easy. Bergstroms if you want push and slight darting.

I've tried everything. I have one bad elbow left arm and a bad wrist on the right, bad back and neck that need surgery. Can't take the darting or heavy turning.

I've spent more money on skis and carbides in one year than TWO people spend in a lifetime, just to keep riding. Snowtrackers will get the nod from me no mater what sled or ski they go on. They are the real deal for positive steering without darting on the trail. Wished I'd have found them years ago.

I used to go through at least 2 pairs of carbides a year but now i can get at least 4000 to 5000 miles out of my snowtrackers.

My buddy and myself have over 12.000kms on sets of DEUCE BAR'S and are still good for this year start of the season, on HARD PACKED or roads/asphalt SNOWTRACKERS will not TURN! we have a APEX that runs with us the odd time and we bug the poop out of him when it comes time to fuel...he just can't steer it to where he wants it and gets P.O. pretty bad! we should VIDEO him 1 day and we'd all have a good laugh...

ditch the stock skis and go aftermarket. the money and time you sink into stock skis to try and make them do what they wont do, you could have bought a pair of aftermarkets. the fact is yamaha skis suck. even the snow magazines say that.

Try Cobra heads and you will have a different opinion on the yamaha ski's, awesome carbide and they just plain work.

I have tried all sorts of combinations over thousands of kilometers with my last two sleds (Attak and LTX GT) and also my wifes Vector. The Deuce bars were the best until I tried the crazy looking Snowtrackers. I figured I was wasting my money, but had to give them a shot. I can honestly say that they are the most positive steering carbide I have found. I can run faster and be more relaxed, knowing that I can carve the next corner.

My buddy on an Attak with Deuce bars says he can't hold the same line as I can in the corners. I run with shims on the ski rubbers, lots of transfer and very light preload on the front springs and it turns great. My wifes Vector will be getting a set of Snowtrackers this season.

the first season had stock ski ,and carbide,,horrible, the next season at 4000 klm i put on snowtrakers extreme ,a train on track,no matter the corner,i turn it,my second set is on from12000klm now at 18500 and they will do the next season,,bye

Snowtrackers, nothing else really close to them for handling/darting.
