Where's the best place to order lite-weight parts from? I've used MPI in the past and been satisfied, but not overly so. Is there a better place to buy parts such as exhaust, seat, suspension, etc? I want to lighten-up my sled instead of going the turbo/SC route. Thanks!

Mountain Mod inc has light seats and hood parts, Excell exhaust has an exhaust that comes out under the tunnel, than I added Murrys front mount turbo seat from Mountain Mod, lost 35 lbs just in those two items. Than I removed all plastics off the back and added Parker Motor sports inc out of Canadas gas rack and bumper, timbersleds barkbuster front end take 14lbs off and their rear suspension drop brackets removes 6 1/2 lbs, EZ-Ryde suspension takes 27 lbs off. After all that supercharge it and add 10lbs with a minimum of 230hp.
That is a total of 83 lb reduction, minus 10 for supercharger=73lbs net plus 230 to 350 hp = adrenaline rush

Thanks so much! This is the kind of info I've been searching for!

Anyone else with some input?

Excel Makes a nice exhaust or you could have somebody make a custom exhaust like mine and drop a tone of weight.

Mine is a Yoshimura Pipe for a Honda CRF 450 that exits under the tunnel. Sounds MUCH better than stock.

I'll be ordering some Lightweight parts for my Apex for the summer project. I am a dealer for Timbersled and some others. If you want to order together just give me a call 303 330 6949

Thanks!

I'll give you a call soon. I'm deciding what I can afford vs what I really want. The two lists seem to be very dissimilar at this point.

I hear ya. Me too!

I've decided to build my own lightweight seat as it seems to be a huge expense.

My list so far
- Timberlsed drop brackets (will remove from my vector)
- Light weight battery (don't know which one yet)
- Light weight front end - I know of a nice kit that will be available late this summer
- Custom wheels - very cheap option like $15 a wheel and looks much better.
- Gut the headlight and replace with PIAA

New handlbars are already on order.
