I see Yamaha Accessories offers a Roll Over Valve and Engine shut off switch in their accessories options for the Nytro. Are there any advantages to either the Four Stroke Solutions or the Yamaha that anyone knows of? Which one would you recommend?

I believe those are actually the same thing or almost with slight variations in wiring. Regardless i believe they all use the Jacobson ROV. I would recommend looking in the OFT tether/ROV. It is the same valve with a pro armour tether and from what everyone says on here that is the most dependable and long lasting tether. I am waiting on mine as we speak.

As stated the OFT has the best tether. But between Jacobson and Yamaha since they are essentuly the same, I would go with the original designer (Jacobson) and avoid MPI.

I have a OFT on the way as well. From everything i could find it was easily my best option.

yamariv,

I made some changes to ROV kits for the 2012-13 season!
All FFS ROV kits now use genuine OEM Arctic Cat tether switches. I have been using them in the M1100T kits with good results, so I decided to expand their usage to the Yamaha applications as well ;)!

The other main difference is the optional ROVCM, which can come in handy for "frequent users".

jacobsen rov was my choice. great customer service and will help you out with any questions and the cat teather upgrade looks great thanks bill

X3 Do recommend the AC switch upgrade though.Original failed to activate on mine once till I manually opened and closed it about a dozen times then it worked fine after.
