Big News for Totallyamaha.com and RX1.info

I guess all our hard work and attention to detail is finally paying off! Yamaha has invited us to the 06 Proto ride. Of course not everyone can go since there are only nine of these machines in the world, basically I was told I could invite only so many members for the ride in Minocqua on the 15th and for the Brainerd ride on the 18th. These people will be representing all of us and will be required to write a ride report and post afterwards. They should be able to get at least a 15 min or more ride on each sled. Ride time is dependant on how many dealers show up. I wish I could invite everyone but since that is out of the question I have chosen members that I feel will represent the high standards of this forum. If you have specific things that you want more info on regarding the new sleds post them here so our representatives can ask the right questions and look in the right places. This is a great thing for TY and hopefully we'll see more opportunities like this in the future. The following members will be attending

Minocqua:

Sledder Steve
NOSPRO
buddah2
BlueByYou2000

Brainerd:

SRXSPEC
SRXSRULES
Convert

Keep in mind that if this goes over really well, I hope to be invited next year to the same VIP ride and will choose several other great members from this site.

I will also be attending and we should be able to bring back some great info for our fellow Yamaha Riders !!!!!

Lucky guys. Bring your camera and find out if the side heat exhangers are still there or if the rad replaced them. And if a 05 seat will fit on the 06.

Tom

Thanks so much for the consideration and invite. I cant wait to grab a handfull on the new Apex series sleds. We are very fortuante to be associated with this site and it prooves that all the hard work you have put in has really paid off. See you Tuesday...BBY

If they descide to do ride in Ontario Canada, I would be more than happy to provide a detailed summary on each and every sled that I get a chance to ride.
SG :yam:

Plus I would bring along my turbo and they could try it out.

Now thats an R&D session. ;)!

good choices mr.sled i noticed most of the posts that were complaining about the 06 were newbies or guys that don,t post too much. hmmmmm ! some guys just can,t see the forest for the trees. i for one am amazed what they brought out in one year. look forward to your feedback and honest opinions. for the rest of you naysayers you got 11 months 29 days to see what the 07;s are. :moon:

Sounds like it could be a great time. Not sure how the snow conditions will be in Brainerd after the latest warmup, but they were decent as of last weekend when my dad rode the Paul Bunyan trail from Backus to Brainerd. Keep us posted on how it went!

Congrats Sledder Steve, NOSPRO, buddah2,
BlueByYou2000, SRXSPEC, SRXSRULES,

Please come up with your questions by Monday. I will print everything off and find out as much as we can at the ride...BBY

Where do we put the questions Matt??
PMs, here??

Conditions suck in Brainerd - dirt on most trails - very little snow. Only riding really is the lakes. What snow there is is crusted hard. No accumulation expected in the 10 day forecast either.

Everyone here has pretty much figured on our local season being over.
