I wanted to send a huge shout out/thank you to Scott AKA. nytro addict.

I made a post a few weeks ago about looking to buy an Nytro from USA to Canada for my friend, in this topic nytro addict replied telling me he was selling his wife's 09 XTX with 360 Miles and some extras, well I got hold of Scott/Nytro Addict and after a few messages and many phone calls later, we closed the deal and wow the sled was perfect. In ever sense of the way it was billed excatly as Scott/Nytro Addict advertised.

Above and beyond that Scott was so friendly and truthful about everything I can honestly say I received better service from Scott than my Yamaha dealer in Canada when I bought my sled?? Is that even possible?

Either way anyone who is ever thinking about buying from Scott/Nytro Addict I highly recommend him.

Thanks again for the amazing perfect sled. In closing any Canadians thinking about buying from USA it is so easy a child could do it. You no longer need to notify US customs 72 hours before hand, they only want that if it's a car that will be put on the road. Importing a sled into Canada from USA is easier to import than a bottle of booze.

Cheers Nytro Addict you made my friend a very happy camper.

A few pictures, sorry for the low quality pictures.

since when do they do not need that?? Canada customs would not let a sled in without a stamp from the US side??

Ive bought 5 sleds, 3 ATVs and a BOAT and NEVER needed to get a stamp from the USA...apply to cars only

Offroad vehicles are easier to cross over.
Motorcycles are tricky, like cars.

What he said, I called US customs twice about the 72 hour notice before entering Canada, and both times they told me it only applies to motor vechiles that actually get registered for road use in Canada, which basically means just cars and motorcycles. The 2nd time I called the US customs guy got pissed off at me for asking him if he was sure.

After picking up the sled from Nytro Addict once we came to the border just went right thru to Canada paid the 5% gst only (no duty) and on our way. The canadian custom agent didn't even look at the sled or ask us to lift the trailer.

Again easier than importing a bottle of booze.

In closing I have to admit, I feel bad for nytro addicts wife, she lost a perfect brand new nytro in this deal, poor girl.

You must be lucky at your border crossing, it aplies to everthing that nees a RIV. Boats are not included.

amen , its depends on who you get and what state you are comming from. Some states have trail passes and ownerships seperate some are together making it harder to cross the boarder.

Have you got insurance and the thing licenced yet? I had a heck of a time at the DMV here in ontario as they wanted an ownership for the sled.

So did you do the RIV and do you have MSO if not good luck registering the unit. Have also bought 6 sleds 3 trailers 2 sea doos and lots of other stuff . On a couple sleds had to get MSO from manufacturer . Good luck and hope you do not have the problems I have had.

RocketmanRod, got the sled in USA, went to Yamaha dealer in USA, changed over warranty to our name, went to border, straight to Canada side paid the 5% gst tax, took it home logged online paid the $200 riv fee online , take sled to crappy tire, when I changed over warranty at Yamaha USA dealer that automatically gets Yamaha USA Corp. to send the man. recall letter, take recall letter and riv forms and crappy tire check to any ministry of transport, they change over ownership and boom on my way.

It is so easy. Saved $4000 for the small effort
