Hello,
I've got an 05 Rage, I just replaced the track due to damage from the top of the rear shockwhich took out a nasty swath right through in some spots. After installing the new track, I am a bit paranoid that this will happen again as there is only 1/4 inch freebore. It seems as though if I put lager diameter upper idlers it would solve this problem? Anyone ? Thanks.

Ulmer sells a kit for that for $25. Just got one for my sled.

Thanks
I contacted them, they say they sell a "Bearing Kit" which is installed over the rear shock. Not quite what I was thinking, I can't imagine there be enough room for this kit between my shock and track.

Click on his "Accessories" link on the left and you will see his solution which is said to work great.

Thanks, I checked out that link. Looks like that would do the trick, but still can't figure how Yamaha would have such close specs, I've replaced everything in the skid so it's good as new and there is only 1/4 inch b/w top of rear shock and track. Just a bit paranoid perhaps.
