How did you make out with studding your XTX? Did you install tunnel protectors when you added the 1.87’s? What studs did you use? I have the same sled and have been debating trimming the track to 1.5” or so.

1.86 is fine with a 1.75 track, that should give u like 5/16 penetration - i run 1.75 studs in a 1.6 two ply cobra which is actually a 1.5,, no tunnel protectors - with the 3.0 8 tooth driver, theres plenty of room to heat exchanger and up top, u wont need tunnel protection unless u go more than 1/2 over the lug with the stud.. even then u dont need it until the track gets real loose. and when u doo a couple 130mph trail runs and she stretches, it hits where the rear tunnel meets the front main at the bend. i always grind down those 2 little bolts up there and push in the vents up top a little.

Ok thanks. Any issues with the studs contacting the heat exchangers? What studs did you use? Options are a bit slim for single ply tracks...
