I picked up a Expert X at the end of last season from this site. It has the Billet oversized wheels. I am concearned with the life of the wheels. I have a Warrior which is studded in the outer cord. Should I look for a Poly type wheel. Thanks

They do have the rubber on them, but there is not much there.

Please TAKE THOSE STUPID THINGS OFF, NOW. I dont mean to yell but I spent well over 600 bucks for billet wheels, with rubber on them, and tha friggin things still left me stranded. THEY ARE JUNK. They are ok to use in powder & mountain riding but forget about using them on the trails

cubby which one's did you have?

My beautiful wheels were made by Chris Iverson at Performance Engineering, or should I say Non-Performance Un-Engineered. After the rubber came off in the same place 3 times and the bogey wheels fell a part, I sent them back with a tactfull letter that asked him for a refund. He never got back to me or sent me a refund. I found out later that he went out of business. Hmmm I guess I bankrupted his company asking for my 600 bucks back..................Cubby

The one's my buddy make's last he signed a contract with wahl bros. now wahl last year started selling special designed one 's to arctic cat which my buddy makes check them out.

For trail riding they can bend easy. Plastic wheels dont ice up that bad, but metal wheels look like rotating dirty ice balls a lot of the time. Just my $.02

Thanks for tha info Pro116. Those look real beefy compared to what I had and they look to be priced reasonably. I might wanna try those in the near future if my polished stainless steel spinners on my plastic bogeys dont work out.....................Cubby

No problem I have only ran them on the ice, grass and asphalt.I know a few people that have put thousands of trail miles on with trail studs. The bad thing is I can']t get them directly throught him because of the contract with wahl brothers.

Thanks for the advice not to buy alu wheels, you saved me a lot of $$.

I was thinking of going that way myself on my '03 TRX-1. I have my track studded outside the rails, guess I would have ended up stranded. I will stay with the plastic wheels which is still in pretty good shape with 5000 miles on them. I will only add a forth-wheel-kit to get the xtra big idler at the rear of the skid and change out all idler wheel bearings.
