RTX tunnel, Black or Un-painted??
The show in Ypsy MI a few weeks back had a plain aluminum tunnel and the show I just came from in GR had a black tunnel, what's the deal?? There was only one rep there and he didn't have a clue. For the record, if you get rid of the silver in the seat it looked pretty sweet ;)!

Should be aluminum on the RTX. I'd bet the black one you saw is the result of Yamaha frantically piecing enough sleds together to keep all the bases covered :D

The GT the only one with black tunnell the rtx has a aluminium tunnell i seen this in yamaha`s new sled catalogue at the dealer and the pic shows this ;)!
I guess the diet pepsi and chocolate chip cookies were getting to me cause I could have sworn the tunnel was black :drink:

I don't care what the pictures in the catalogue shows I know what I saw :ORC

I think Torks explanation is most likely the reason. But who knows, maybe Yamaha planted that seed to see what sprouts 8)

But if that was the case I'm sure they would listen to everyone that has said how horrible that plastic cover looks on the rear compartment. I'm not kidding, everyone there was complaining about it and the rep was taking notes.

You got to wonder what's going on with the variation in colors. Take for example the 06 team blue Vector ER. In the print catalog on first page or so you see it with silver spindles and a arms. Then turn to the Vector page and see the black spindles and blue a arms. Webside shows black/blue. :o|

It is unpainted I talked to one of the Reps in Colebrook NH this weekend and he told me it was probably a tunnel they had from a GT which they threw together to make an RTX. All those sleds where the hand built ones. I was concerned to because I do not want a painted tunnel it looks like crap when it gets all scratched up.

I thought the same thing until I realized it had the adjuster in the side of the tunnel for the mono shock. If it was a GT tunnel simply thrown on there you wouldn't think they would have taken the time to install that adjuster. I looked close, it was installed nice, it wasn't just slapped in there.
