I decided to add a temp gauge on my apex, I lost a bit of antifreeze when removing the lower hose, after installing the 26mm temp hose fitting I filled the coolant tank back up raise the rear of the sled took out the bleeder screw and let the sled run up to temp, took about 30 seconds for the antifreeze to come out of the bleeder screw I tightened the screw back up and left the sled running for a few more minutes or so till temp reached 165 f, all 4 rads were getting hot and the tank is still full,
My?,
I know I didn’t put the same amount back in as I lost some during the install,
With the tank cap on and antifreeze coming out of the bleeder screw how long should I keep the bleeder screw out before putting it back in?
what do you guys suggest?
Thanks...

2 running board coolers, rear cooler and front tunnel cooler not to mention the small rad by the chaincase with a fan on an apex.

Got it, Was looking for the three other radiators I never noticed !!LOL! Back to your issue. I would just put the sled level on the ground and let warm up till hot or fan comes on then shut down and cool some … then carefully open rad cap very slow with a rag over it and "burb". You will likely get some fluid to come out but check coolant level and repeat. Your just purging the system. A tip is always fill Very very slowly to let air out and not trap air.2 running board coolers, rear cooler and front tunnel cooler not to mention the small rad by the chaincase with a fan on an apex.

I just did another test, ran the sled till it reached 170f and yes all the coolers including the one by the chain case with the fan gets hot.
I’m 100% sure more antifreeze came out than what I put back in, my guess is I’m short 300 ml give or take but the tank is full after I bleed the system and it’s still full now..
Seems like something isn’t right to me..

It may take a few cycles to get the air all out...

I remember putting a bigger heat exchanger cross over tube on my 121 apex years back and was very careful through the whole process and it took a few heat and purge cycles to get it done. The key is refilling VERY slow ...

when i get into the cooling system, i always make sure the overflow bottle is full to the cold line for the first few runs of the sled as it will take time to get all the air out with main rad full from start.

I guess I will wait till the snow starts coming down and keep checking the antifreeze,
Just bothers me knowing that there’s air in the system..
