must be something wrong in there..have it checked out..

i have the same exact problem wit hmy 05. I blew a belt on my last trip. i have 4100 miles on it and i have blown 4 belts. This is more than any sled ive ever seen!!! Let my know if you figure out what it is. I think its clutch alignment.

My current belt has lasted nearly 3000 miles.

A couple things to avoid are:
1. Trying to take off with the parking brake engage! Doh!! (ruined the first belt that way)
2. Driving at over 8000 rpm for an extended amount of time. I shredded a belt after about nearly 20 continous minutes of trying to go 90+ on powdery trails. I've read that belt durability sucks above 8000 rpm, one of the reason a pre-clutch reduction gear was added to the RX-1.

400 trouble free belt miles on mine, clutchs are staying cool, belt shows no wear, and clutch has very little rubber marks on it

1850 miles on mine with no problems and I ran a lot of high speed trails with speeds at 80 up. ;)! :4STroke:
