Has this happened to anyone else?Put new fuse in,idles for a few seconds and stalls take the fuse out and it's burnt.Does anyone know why this is happening?
NY warrior, thanks for steering me in the right direction,i knew i had a bare wire just didn't know where to start, you where way more help than my local dealer.....thanks again.
Check the main trouble spots...the main harness under the Tool Box, the wiring in the handlebars etc. The one under the toolbox rubs the chassis and could easily get frayed over time. Some guys had the problem with a wire in the handlebars getting pinched when turned.
the wire that blows the ign fuse is one that comes from the key switch abd gets pinched in the steering stops. pull your gas tank cover you will see it there. just put on some wire lom and put some heater hose on the wireing down by the tool box as well.
