I needed a new boost controller for my 2860 turbo because mine broke last year so I picked up a Boondocker adjustable actuator at the Sled show last weekend. I was wondering if anyone has tried these. I had the -6 actuator on my sled which cracks at approx 9.5psi pressure and the -9 actuator cracks about 5 or 6psi I think. I had issues of too high boost at lower altitude even after wastegate porting and .86 exhaust housing. I am running a Diamond S header with my mid mount in a Nypex project. I have been doing bench testing with this actuator using a boost gauge and regulator and have found a lot of flexibility with it. The lowest boost I could make with my Hallman boost controller closed up was 14psi at low altitude. By playing with this adjustable set up on the bench I can open the wastegate further which should lower my boost at home but it starts opening earlier too. My sled builds boost super fast with my -6 actuator but will it be a noticeable difference if it starts opening at 6 or 7psi instead of 9.5 like stock? I can quickly adjust it to open like my stock at 9.5psi or even higher if I want, but it wont open the wastegate as much either. I am going to tie my Hallman boost controller into this too. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry so long of explanation. Shad

One thing to watch for when installing is it's size. I tried to install one of these last year but was unable due to space requirements. I have a mid mount turbo and this actuator is about twice the size of a regular actuator. Was not able to re-install the gas tank.
Just make sure you have room...
Otherwise, I have heard these are great to work with.
