BOOST CONTROLER

Ok guys i am getting to know these Turbos a little more, i see right now i want a controler that can bleed tons of air off at frist(so waste gate does not move) lot faster boost build up and then slow the rate down to dump some boost at the set range. The switchs dont do this. I know they are dumping alittle boost right away. (slowing boost build up down) If i just unplug my presure line at the waste gate i build boost 3 times as fast!

What Boost Controler do i want dont realy care about money just want a good controler that will WORK and LAST!!

A HKS electronic boost controller like the EVC5 is what you are looking for Matt. When going from a manual controller to the electronic controller on a car, the boost comes on much faster.

You think it would last on a sled? I see it comes with a Electronic Valve does that take place of the vacuum style popet valve? So they hold the gate shut all the way till your set boost!

Regardless of how you want to control your top boost number you have to hook the waste gate up without any bleeds then set the tension for like 7 psi or the minimum you want to run, I think 5 psi is a little low.

This will help build boost early, the electronic boost controlers are far superior to any bleed device.

The electronic boost controller bleeds signal completely until it sees a boost then it starts to regulate it to control boost.

I have one on my Sled, I use the same one on all the turbo cars we do.
