- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I bought a 2010 RS Vector LTX for my wife because I bought a 07 Attak back in 07 and really like it still after 6 K miles. She has handled my Attak fine so I thought the Vector would be o.k.
I know they are similar but is there any differences I should be aware of? I probably will stud it with 1.325 Woody's like I did to my Attak. Do we need to add 1 1/2 in more of protection over the cooler like I had to do with the Attak?
Any other things? Were going to like this machine I'm sure.
Were to get a manual?

yes you will need some additional protection over the exchanger (i don't think 1 1/2" though). afaik no matter what you will need additional carbide on the skis. other than those things i can't remember seeing too many complaints about the sled and a lot of praise. i hope it's a good one, it's my first one. now if there was just enough snow to enjoy it. i brought a factory service manual when i got the sled but don't have and haven't seen one in PDF

Re: Bought 2010 Vector LTX some questions compareing to ATTA
funny when you hear guys bitching that the apex-attack handle like crap and your wife has no problem with it,makes me wonder some times,i tried a 2010 vec ltx last year and loved it,much better sled than my 09, with the new efi mill, the sled is much more responsive, she'll love it,congratsCaptCaper said:I bought a 2010 RS Vector LTX for my wife because I bought a 07 Attak back in 07 and really like it still after 6 K miles. I just found out it comes with a "low" windshield. She won't like that so now I have to figure which one will work. I have the medium one I bought for the Attak. Better then stock Attak but compared to her Vmax and she did comment on how she felt the air flow more so.

The part # is 23-3061 it runs $95.00 and fit very well made by Kimpex i think.
Any one needing a stock windshield i still have it and is in new cond. took it off after second ride.

Thanks...
Funny how I typed in make/model/etc. and got only Cobra windshields. Kimplex is more money but probably nicer.
How do they figure height? by measureing up from gas tank?
How high is yours from were the instrument panel bottoms to top of windshield?
I'm just curious to compare to my Attak which has a medium windshield from Yamaha. It is higher then the OEM which came with it.

I think it would work for ya. I tried a differnt one first from them and it had a scrach in it so i took it back and they did not have any more of them. They had the one i have now and was glad that they were out of stock because this one has a much better fit and looks better. The smoke color looks good on the seld also. The stock one is just junk it does not stop any wind at all. I also see it must be on sale.
