Well I went to the Munising area to ride this weekend and my viper kept over heating. The trails had a good base but, were wet (about 36 degrees) so there was little to no snow dust. I would make it 10 -15 miles and then would have to shut it down to cool. Both running boards were hot. I removed the termostat to try and increase flow and bled the cooling system. Still over heating.
So when I was calling around looking for a dealer to install a heat exchanger. Watsons in Curtis says "trader in i'll give you a great deal on a left over sled". I really like my Viper so I wouldn't trade it in but, I was thinking about getting an Attack for the wife anyway. So I drove to Curtis and bought an Attack for the wife for christmas. $8200.00 for a new 07 Attack I thought was a great deal. I ended up putting 222 miles on the attack. The attack is an awesome sled but, I still love the flat corning of my Viper!!!
I had an 06 Apex GT. What problems have they had with 07 Attacks? What can I do to reduce the inside ski lift in the corners?
Thanks!

Back-off the front springs so that they are just loose then tighten one turn when the front end is suspended. Pull the limiter strap up one or 2 holes.
Install a 13 mm sway bar from Pioneer Performance and adjust the skid coupler so there is a very minimum of transfer. This will get u close and u can fine tune from there.

WHAT if ya do all this without the 13mm sway bar, will it still work?

Why didn't you buy from your local dealer "Team Winnebagoland"??? They were selling 07 left overs for $6999???

Try it without the sway bar and see how u like it. If it's your wife riding it, it will probably be alright unless she's an exceptional rider.

This is the setup i use and it works excellent. My first thought was to tighten front spring but if you loosen it lets the front end drop into corner and lets the 13mm sway bar take over. I also put simons flex skis on and this give it about 4 inch wider stance.

Thanks for the set-up info. As far as buying from team...I will never step foot in either team. They screwed me over to many times with there lack of a good service department. It's a long story but, I ended up having to pick my bike up from them in boxes once. And there was another case when they would have had my brand new sled down for more than 1/2 the season because they couldn't get a part I needed. I called Yamaha and had the part in 2 days. I would have to see that price to believe it.

does this set up apply to the reg attack and the GT or just the reg? I have a GT and would appreciate the feed back.

thanks,
mike

It will work the same on the GT but you will have more options with the clicker shocks. I just have the reg Attak, maybe someone else can suggest a clicker setting to get u close.

Its true they were selling 07' attaks for 6999 plus set up,we tried to buy 4 of them but they only had 2 left and one 06' for 6999 out the door,we bought them all.As for service,I think you may have a point,on the 06' the speedo was not working I had a code 84 and 42 so took it to a local dealer (I'm 3 hours south of them)that dealer said someone "stole" the speed sensor and a few other parts.
