Does anyone have info on why my ATTACKS headlight pod is broke at the screw mounts(the gray plastic) ? Is Yamaha fixing this also? It is downright scary doing this stuff with my beloved Yammy.Strange...

This is troubling considering how many times we need to remove the damn thing to do stuff to the sled :o|

Mine have been from laying the sled down on its side.. But still way to weak IMO as I have rolled my viper much harder without any damage!.. Not even a mark on the sled.

I noticed at Pat's Yamaha, that whenever they put a 06 sled on its side.
They use a 6x6 timber and set it on the handle bar hook, that is the only thing they let touch

Its sad that you can't lay these things over at all.. They now have a specail handle bar stand for when laying the sled on its side..

WTF are they thinking at least dont make a devise to protect it when working on it,you are showing all of your aces this way,wow now i can understand why when my buddy rolled his GT he broke his pod,and it was not cheap 600 bucks and john said good thing he retreved his speedo pod, cause that along is 600 wow, glad i missed that moose the other night lol not only would i had flank steaks but much higher insurance premiums lol..]

Cheap plastic.

My pod mounts also broke when I leaned the sled on it's side in deep snow to check for ice build up. I feel that they shouldn't have broke that easy! now my headlight beam shake at night when riding a bumpy trail. Annoying. Definately needs to be updated. Th repair is at least a $300 dollar fix.

2000 miles on my sled and i rolled it over once at about 500 miles and mine did not break..

I agree it is cheaply made and very flimsy

But everyone wanted a light weight, fast sled.. and thats what they gave as but it all comes at an expense..

You should see all the stuff that breaks when you roll a RX-1... i did mine twice.. it just shatters..

DONT ROLL YOUR SLED>....

They all break
