Bung location

I'm going to add the AF module to my mod stock exhaust but need to weld a bung on first. It looks tight without modifying the heat shield if I point it to the inside (needs to be higher) or the blanket if I point it to the outside. What are most guys doing?

Three time loser that finally learned his lesson. At this point in my life I don't really need a woman-just a good dog and a few fast Cats. A pole barn is in the plans for next spring.
