My 07 Rage is the first sled I have owned that has a skid longer than 121". I will never go back. It is 136" or longer for me from now on! G.B.

Ended up buying the new 09 LTX Vector GT. Rode it around the yard for 10 miles before going out on the trails. Took it very easy keeping it under 40mph and just slowly cruising. I stopped at a convenient store to get a drink etc... and when I came out I turned on the sled and it started beeping like it was in reverse. I engaged the sled in reverse and it was then beeping twice as loud. Put in back in forward and was still beeping like it was in reverse. I shut down the sled and read the owners manual again and didn't see a solution to this problem and the sled wasn't giving me any warning signs on the guages. I then drove the sled forward without a problem for about 75 feet or so and the ! sign triangle came up on the guages and the beeping continued so I shut the sled down again. I let it sit for 10 minutes and turned it back on. This time the beeping stopped but the track did not move as I tried to pull forward !! I called a friend to come and look at it and we took off the parking brake assembly and put it back on but that wasn't the problem. The problem appears to be with the secondary clutch. It doesn't want to turn and the track won't move. I have 30 miles on this sled and just bought it brand new!! Now it is sitting on the back of my truck. I called the dealer and he wants me to bring it to him. UGHhh! First time out on the trails and trouble! Has anyone else had this problem?

My guess is that you overheated the sliders and they stuck to the track clips.
Can you turn the track with your hand?

I didn't try manually turning the track. I'll have to go give it a try. You might be right about this one.

Can any Yamaha dealership work on my sled if it's under warranty? D&D will fix the problem but they are over 1 1/2+ hours away. D&D was the only dealership that had the model I wanted. Also got the best price (others wouldn't match if they ordered it) and great service . By the way I'm not sure if the track will move or not. It's on the back of my truck and can't positon it right to tell. I could easily if I had an extra hand but I'm here by myself at the moment.

The 'beeping' confused me. I was told today that the sled will only beep when it is engaged in reverse. The sled was not in reverse and drove forward. Didn't see anything in the owner's manual about it.

yes, it reads half full. I checked all the fluids and they appear to be fine.

mine did act up a cpl times, you put it in reverse, the beeper comes on,give it some gas and the sled goes forward, this means that its not engaged properly, put it back in forward, move ahead a bit and try again, usually does the trick on mine, the gears have to mesh for it to go in reverse,my rx warrior did the same thing,i think it can be adjusted somehow

Yep, track didn't move, good call Grim. One hit with a rubber mallet and now I'm back in business ~heading for the trails! Thanks!
