I am thinking about buying some C&A razor skis for my ApexER. Wondering how any of you that are using them like them? I have 144 1.31 studs - how much carbide will I need to steer properly. Also who has the best price on these skis. Earlier this year they seemed to sell much less in preseason sales than now. thks for the help

I've baight my last two sets from Rich here on the site. He has awesome prices that I think are very hard to beat.

I've heard great things about the razors. I went with the XT's, and let me tell you, I am wore out by the end of the day. The XT's have a deeper center keel so it is hard on the arms to turn in hard packed trails but great off trail.
I've been thinking of the razors as a trail ski, and just switch between the two. I think the razors will be a great compromise for both on and off trail.

Aabout the carbines, If you go with the razors, I would think a 6"-8" size would be perfect.

Get with Rich, he'll hook you up.

I've been running the XTs for 2 seasons now in tight trails. Wore out 2 pairs of leather gloves and my handlebar grips are also wore out smooth on the ends. lol, but they do turn great!

I also have 6.9 pilots.

You bet. I had blisters after the first day. lol

I LOVE my XT's. Sure they have a bit more steering effort at slow speeds but I like em for the trail. I have yet to be on hard pack. Last seasons seemed like all loose stuff and they were great. Off trail they ROCK.

My buddies run the razors on all their sleds. They really like them over the stock. One guy swithed from pilots to razors. He did not like the pilots w/ loose snow.

they are a great ski.you would want 6" carbide.

C,A has set a minumum selling price so thats why they are more money now.I sell them right at the min. plus i give FREE shipping. If you need a set let me know i have them all in stock.

i Had the razors on my viper with 6" carbides and 196 studs and they were awesome, I shimmed them per bergstrom guidleines and no darting, little steering effort and the sled just railed. Couldn't be caught in the twisties!

I'm really liking mine on my Fx Nytro... handle real good.. darting is not a problem.. they carve nice in decent conditions.

I just put a set of Razors and 10" Shapers on my Attak, and like them way better than the original Simmons I had on it. I also like the Razors better than the Slydogs that are on my wifes Attak, except for deep powder. Then I like the Slydogs better. The Razors steer easier than the Simmons and bite better. They dart a little, but not nearly as bad as the Slydogs. The Slydogs steer easier, but dont bite as good.
