Monday my son and I were riding up the river in southern WI and found ourselves crossing water routinely - some areas several hundred feet and it felt like we never left the ice. This goes for both my son's Nytro as well as my Apex GT. Here is a vid of my son crossing one of the smaller openings. The longer crossings were just like this, had a ball!!!! ;)!

How did the Apex feel across the water compared to the Nytro?

Very smooth, if anything the Apex handled the wake or ripple a little better when crossing with others at the same time. We had 6 of us doing this and the Yamahas skimmed smoothly across everything. I will have to get my son to video me across the long cross next time we are up that way again.

Looked like a piece of cake ;)!

Not that I plan on trying but I am curious how the Curve XS make out crossing water?

No problem, it was nice because there were so many crosses in various sizes that you can be running 60-70MPH and cross a 10-15 foot to test the the feel for it. After a couple of those you are shooting across 30-50 and more. We did not have any issues but you have to be careful as you never know what can happen. Hate to have a belt get wet or throw an 84(TORS) code in the middle of a long cross!!!!!!
BTW my belt stayed dry. Looks like our fun for a day is over as we are expecting 47 by Friday. time to head up North!!! :-o
