As I wrote in another post my 05 RX1 darts bad. I had a chance to buy a set of CA Pro skis. They are like new and have a set of 8 carbides that are like new. I can traid him my skis and $60.00. They are on a 2001 SXR and I drove it yesterday and very little darting and it turned very easy. I put them on my sled and shimed them. The darting is almost gone but when turning the sled a slow speeds or at a stop it turns very hard. It was 42 degrees yesterday so the snow setteled and then 20 degrees last night and it is very crusty so that don't help.
Any suggestions on how to set up the suspension for this problem, or is that a problem with CA Pros.

Thanks Bruce

Bruce when I put c&a razors on my 05 warrior, I had to take 3 turns out of the front springs to get it to turn easier. It is well worth the extra effort to turn the skis, than the effort needed to chase the stock skis around. Maxdlx

Thanks, I would have to agree. I rode it today on my launch hr. Very soft snow but it tracked great. I will try to adjust the front springs and see if I can make it better.
Thanks Bruce

I took the 6 inch carbides off of mine today, and the fronts where wore almost all the way through. You need to watch yours and possibly shim the rear too. Maxdlx

I had c and a's on my warrior and it took three men and a boy to turn them at low speed, after much tweaking I gave up on them, I went back to stock skis and 8in doolys and shimed my transfer rods with a 5/16" nylon washer reducing ski lift under excell. good results much less arm pump after long day on the trail I do give up a very little to the c/a's on high speed cornering but I get around that by driving in hard and stay on the throttle and break to the apex then let the break go and hammer the throttle. If you can master this technique you will fall in love with the set up.

Also with the shims in the rod you can let your straps out a little and gain back some of the travel you may have lost trying to get it to steer.

good luck

also Feht Bros. says ski changes are b.s. and stock skis from all mfgs. are just as good as aftermarket.
