Camoplast pre studed tracks good or bad???

Ironically, I boast of the Ice Ripper yet the new sled I purchased, 2012 Apex SE, has 153 studs installed by the dealer so it will be the first sled in a very long time that I have owned with studs. I guess I can look forward to that hard acceleration Yamadoo speaks of! :-o

I put an Ice Attack track on My 07 Attak last season and it FAILED - BIG TIME !!! With 800 miles on the track had lost 12 lugs on the outer edges which tore off right down to the cords. A friend I ride with put the same track on an 03 Polaris 800 with the same results. Neither track was abused or used in low snow conditions.

I returned both tracks for warranty assessment Mine was covered in full & My buddies was Refused

We do alot of high speed lake riding & a mix of trails . I can't Recommend this track

i am using an ice ripper and i like it. first kind of studs i have ever used on a sled. just gives me that bit more control over an unstudded ripsaw.

Strange. I've got over 2000 miles on mine, some of those in less than ideal conditions and it looks like new. Maybe they had a bad lot? You didn't try to add conventional studs to this track, did you?

i put a ice ripper xt with sharp stud on my 121 it was ok at best, better than no studs at all after about 6000km in various conditions it was losing tips and the track was cracking badly around the inserts, replaced it with a 1.25 ripsaw and 144 traditional studs i am a happy camper now works great

seems to me that if you like alot of studs in your track it is not the way to go like blue er put 144 studs on a 121 skid and loves it i put 96 into my 121 and didnt like it on tight groomed trails. but love the pre studed.

I'll look forward to seeing those studs dull and bent over after the first trip LOL.
