boost
You need to send your control box to MCXpress and have it updated to 290hp or 310hp. And you will need to add a fuel pump for more fuel when the boost is at 14 for 290hp or 16 for 310hp. And I would recommend you to get a boost controller.Bind there done that and if works just fine.

i run the clutch set up for my max preferred HP at 12 lbs-pure stock motor…..i run as low as albs (due only to available fuel on the trail) but change nothing but the boost pressure with no problems
…..i know people relaibly run 350+ HP with the only internal mod being a proper head shim..not stacked gaskets…..no rod or piston up grades unless serious HP is desired 400+.

turbo
If you set your clutch for 16psi 310 for 10800 rpm when you go to12psi you will be running you rpm in the torque range that would be around 10300 to 10500 rpm the best of both worlds

290hp
I run 2011 APEX, MCX , UPS , 290 hp 14 lbs with Ulmers clutch kit 10800 ,premium pump gas , crazy fast so much fun !
Then when travelling, or tired , I run 8 lbs and it gets awesome fuel milage, better than stock, shifts at about 10400 but it has so much torque it never stops pulling . If I have to buy regular fuel drop to 5 lbs still fun ride. Each lbs is about 10 hp over stock. 11000 km flawless !!!
