can i rebuild my gt25?

can i rebuild my gt25 (i think thats the turbo that comes with a bender rear mount?) with this kit?

I have a 35 pilot jet as an oil restrictor now and am still getting oil in the intercooler.

It depends if the turbo you have now is a gt25r which is dual ball bearing or just a gt25 which is a journal bearing turbo. If it is a journal bearing gt25 then it would work, but if it's a ball bearing then no, and you won't find any rebuild kits for any of the gt ballbearing series turbo's they are not rebuildable, you have to get a new center section.

A good way to tell if its a ball bearing turbo is listen to it after you shut it down and see if it spins for a little bit. Mine will spin for 15-20 seconds whereas a journal bearing turbo will quit spinning real quick, Ken.

ya, it spins for a while, so its ball bearing which is what i thought...good time to upgrade the turbo and add alcohol injection this summer i guess
