Looks as though the venture skid is based on the Proactive skids. I would measure the Venture units and compare them to the Vector. If the lengths match up, you should be able to find something from one of those sleds, oem or aftermarket, and have it valved to suit.

bjowett Thanks for the reply. I tryed the comparision to try and match up to another model and even make but the venture shocks are longer ( a little longer travel suspention) I did however note yesterday that the 07-08 GT Venture appears on the port yamaha fishe to be alluminum and I need to find out if it is rebuildable. I am guessing yes that It can be unthreaded but I need confirmation. If so my plan will be send it out to shocktec and revalve both of them and install tunable remote resevors. I am doing this on a set of 07 attak front shocks right now to replace the factory setup. I will be posting a thread named venture rtx soon you may find interesting with a few pics of this sled that will be participating in 08 Cains Quest endurance race in Labrador March 10th.

Sounds like an awesome project! Definetly post it up.
The GT does come with that mon tube KYB gas shock... no idea if it can be rebuilt. Do you have the measurements from the stock shock?

Thanks for the repy Guys Zigy I did e-mail you but I forgot to ask if you were refering to front of rear when you mentioned Bruce installed a different spring? Let me know. I picked up the 06-factory alternate shock today and it is a steel body none rebuildable nitrogen gaser. It may work but front of rear+spring needs some help.
