Can Someone Help me out Here

I just bought an 03 RX1 about a month and a half ago and There is a code that flashes on the dash that I have determined to be a handwarmer short. I Completely unplugged the handwarmers under the crash pad and it still flashes. With the Handwarmers completely disconnected shouldnt the code stop flashing?? I have read Numerous posts on this handwarmer issue on the 03 on here but I cannot understand why the code still flashes with them unhooked. I believe it is the Left warmer as I could twist it while on the bars. I just want to get this problem fixed Cause I am going to sell it as I upgraded to an 06 Attak. Any help here would be greatly Appreciated. Thanks.

IT's not a short it is a broken circet . you need to replace the grip to get rid on the flashing code .
