Can stainless Y pipe be welded @ joint?

My Buddie's 2010 GT broke the Y pipe at the joint on the way back from a 3 day 900km Quebec trip. Can it be welded at the Y? Apparently not cracked at the flex pipe donuts but I will inspect carefully for cracks. Thanks for any suggestions.

yep... i broke mine and welded it up... that was 2 years ago... looks the same as after welding..

Yes it can, just talk to or take it to a local welding shop and ask what is the best proceedure to do it. I would suspect tig welding. Depends on what grade of stainless it is.
