My exhaust donuts must be close to being shot. I did the rag test last night and the sled idled down to 800 rpm from 2500 rpm, stumbled, but did not stall. I also hear the ticking underneath when cold. My guess is that they are partially worn but not completely gone.
My sled has stainless Y pipes since I already went through two sets of titanium pipes. Are these as prone to damage when the gaskets blow out completely? The service tech at my dealer says no, that they can withstand the abuse of missing donuts for a lot longer than the titanium.
What do you think?
I have a 700-800 mile trip coming up and would rather not screw around with them until after the trip.

The SS pipes seem to be about twice as thick as the titanium ones and not so brittle.
