Thinking of ordering a new vector xtx but I want to stud the track. Like the new LE version but it comes with the 1.75 in lug track. Can it be studded?

yep....best to do staggered doubles though, reduces the chance of pullouts. check though because the tunnel protectors are probably removed on the 1.75" models (at least that's what they do with the 1.75" nytros)

I was warned not to by 2 different dealers. I like studs. Was considering the Sidewinder XTX LE , but this was one of the reasons why I am leaning towards a LTX-LE instead. Unfortunately, the XTX comes with the 1.75 and the LTX is a 1.25. Wish there was an option in between.

I was speaking about the sidewinder models. Didn't want to derail the discussion. You either get an LTX, which has the 1.25 or an XTX, which has 1.75. If a guy wants something in between, you have to purchase a different track, such as the cobra and swap it out. Thanks, though.there is kind of anyways.... 1.6" ice cobra

You can stud a 1.75" track (provided you have the clearance) I ride with a few guys with trail converted race sleds and they have studded 1.75"tracks, all the snox sleds run that set up. do you know if the sidewinder 1.75" comes with tunnel protectors though, because I wouldn't run studs with out tunnel protectors.

if you've never tried a studded 1.75" it is awesome, not so good on hard frozen lake etc.... but insane on normal trail, and good off trail. that is hopefully plan for my nytro xtx for the summer, unless I get side tracked with something else....
