Looking into snow checking a Vector XTX 1.75 LE. I don't need the 1.75" track as I do mainly trail riding, but the only way to get the 146" skid with the LE package is to get the 1.75" track.

How much top end will I be giving up with the 1.75" as compared to the 1.25"?

I can't answer how much top end you'll give up but seeing that you're from Oshkosh, but not knowing where you do the bulk of your riding, trail riding with the 1.75" track will likely shorten it's useful life.

And the 1.75" track will rip up a trail faster than the 1.25 will. Might want to consider a track swap? Buy a 1.25 and sell your 1.75?

That's what Allen Ulmer told me to do. Just hate to tear into a brand new sled right away. Wish you could get the LE 146" in a 1.25! Or I will just have to bribe some guys with beer to do a track swap!

By the way, I ride around Oshkosh when snow pernits. This year I had to do all U.P. riding and on the Fox River due to lack of snow here.

I could be bribed with beer! Lol! Wish I lived closer! Tearing into a new sled happens all the time. Doesn't make.it any easier to do I know.

I just worry the 1.75 track won't sell right away as the 146" skid is so new to the market. Hmmmm. Decisions!

If the 146 x 15 x 1.75 track is new then heck, I'd run it. BUT if you were in my group and I saw you roto tilling up a nice trail with it, you wouldn't ride with my group any more. :) 1.25's are bad enough with a heavy thumb.

Yeah, just trying to make an informed and financially sound decision. Definitely don't want to tear up the trail. I've been on torn up trails plenty of times, not fun! Especially with what little snow we had this year.

No problem. Seeing that I'm one of the guys that has to groom out those piles of snow left from jack rabbit starts....kinda hits a nerve...sorry. :)

That's a significant difference in top end. I see you live in Appleton. I'm right own the road in Oshkosh. Want to help with a track swap next fall?! Lol

Shure a track swap is a pretty easy job, I have helped a lot of members on here do them over the years.

I hate to tear into the sled right away new, but the 1.25" track better fits my needs. Hopefully I can sell the 1.75. If only they had a spring order 146" Vector with the 1.25" track! They have the 1.25" track in the 146", but it's the grey color scheme, minus the dampers and fox floats up front.......
