I was checking my 07 Phazer FX over before my first ride and noticed the the dealer forgot to grease the skid. I got out the grease gun, and most of the zerks took grease, except for three located on the rear link and one on a smaller suspension component. I brought my sled to the dealer, along with another 07 FX Phazer to see if the zerks were defective. The dealer told me that the zerks work fine, but there is not enough room in the smaller suspension components for the grease to flow through to the bushings. The dealer had to machine (cut grooves in the inner rod) to make room for the grease. Anyone else had a problem with this?

Nope, my 07 FX takes grease in all fittings. but on some of the grease fittings they leak around the spot welds which is comon. but i just pump in grease untill it comes out the ends of the bushings. I have'nt heard of anyone haveing to machine grooves in the shafts.

What did your Dealer say about them forgetting to grease the skid?

I greased mine,Kind of a PITA to get to some of the zerks. They all took grease.

Not a whole lot. I was not happy to say the least! :o| The interesting thing is that the same thing happened to my friend's sled, but at a different dealer.

I did have trouble getting the small bottom one to go.I think something got into the zerk itself.Took it apart and cleaned everything good and then it went.JB welded the fitting leaks last year.Couple are leaking again but I just did like doogie and kept pumping till it came out shaft ends. What a mess!

yea, rear lower one leaks around the zerk, 2 parted it, jb'd it, still leaks. afraid to stick weld it and melt the zerk, so I pump till grease comes out it's eyes and done.
