I have a 09 Venture GT (144" track) and am thinking of studding. Mostly ride on lake/trails. Length of stud, # of studs, center of track only, pattern, stud supplier etc. Thanks for any help in advance. Rocky

Woody's Signature Series SS Stud with the Tall/Big nuts is what I have been using for years with GREAT results. I'm just your average trail rider and don't pound the heck outta the sled. Make sure to use Woody's backers too. Can't help you with a # of studs but Woody's site has a great tool for determining the right number of studs.

I just went there and put your sled through the selector. If you select "intermediate" riding it will suggest to run studs on the outside belts. I've done this 1X and will never do it again. Good luck which ever route you choose!

I'd go with Woodys recommendations. I'm surprised at their recommendation for outside studding as well. Don't do that. Do an inside patter if they offer one for your rig.
At their site you'll find the application process. My parts guy of 15 years said the Gold Diggers were the best out of all the other studs he's seen and sold.
I have gone with the Woodys' recommened pattern and stud length and have been fine for 7000 miles on my Attak.

X2 on the Gold Diggers but I've always liked SS studs because they don't rust. Just my preference is all.

- 2016 Yamaha Venture TF
Hello! We purchased a 2016 Venture TF which has a 151" track and would like to stud even though the heat exchanger is by the snow flap. Have any of you studded this chassis? Rec. tunnel protectors? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
