How hard is it to sync the carbs on the RX-1? Can anyone give a step by step, or is it best left to the qualifed mechanics. The reason I ask is I only know of one decent dealer around here. And they always have a 2 month waiting list. Thanks

Unless you have the proper tool,to do the job i would take it to any dealer that can do it when you want it done.

I would not mind buying the tool to do it myself. I'm just curious as to how hard it is.

It is fairly easy to do and there are a variety of tools avai;ablt to do the job. Basically you are syncing the vacuum on the intake of the carbs so that they are all the same.

If your adjusting the vacuum on each separate carb, what do you adust to even them out? Just the throttle cable that goes to each carb? Dang I feel stupid.

No, 3 of the carbs have an adjusting screw. The fourth is fixed and you adjust the other 3 to that one. Tomorrow when I have more time I will post a better description of what you need to do.
