hi i have a ??? does anyone know if the throttle bode(fuel injection) of a 2009 nyrto 130hp or any 130hp for that mater fit on a carburetor version of the 120hp like in the older vector ??? i have an aircraft that i have put the 120 on and it has the carburetor's and i want to switch it to e.f.i but i do not want to spend the money just to find out that it will not work so figured i would ask here to see if anybody has done this...

i WOULDNT SEE WHY NOT IF YOU TRANSFER OVER THE ECU AND ALL THE DO DADS THAT GO WITH IT.
THAT SAID I HAVENT DONE IT LOL SORRY JUST KEEPING IT ALIVE.

hi thor 452.... ya that is what i am thinking but do i want to spend the money to find out that it not going to work

well it looks like the 2010 vector has the efi with the 120 ...and it is a different part # then the efi on the 130

Do you have access to the 130 HP FI parts, or are you thinking that this swap will get you 130 HP?

The 120 vs. 130 HP differences aren't due strictly to the FI units, cam and timing are different.

I don't know specifically about the Vector, but I know on other Yamaha products this has been researched and it never made sense. Too many parts and money involved, it makes more sense sell your old one and buy a new one.

If it was attempted, it seems like you would have to at least stay within the same model line.

I know for sure you cannot do it on the 4 cylinder RX motor to apex fuel injection. The heads are different along with the cam timing and a few other things. And if you change out motors to the injected one you need all of the electonics including spedometer and the electric fuel pump whethere it is tank mounted or exterior one cause you need increased fuel pressure. I did one back about 5 yrs ago and it was a mother.

hi guys ...no i was not trying to get 130hp i was just trying to make my carb 120 in to the f/i 120 ...but it would take some block mod's and the pults gear on the crankshaft stub end and some new sensor placements...and remember i have this on an aircraft ...i cant bring my self to part out my 2009 nytro that thing is to much fun ... maybe i can find a busted 2010 vector
