Just wondering if any one has used the 22 or 23 tooth top sproket in the chain case for more top end?? I was told by my dealer the factory one on the 2010 nytro xtx is a 21 tooth. However they couldn't tell me how much I would lose on the bottom end or how much I would gain on the top end ??? It cost aproxx $60 to buy which dosn't bother me but it it worth my time????

most guys who have geared up really haven't made huge gains...rider weight and model of Nytro are big factors. The XTX seems to get better top speed due to the tracks approach angle and may benefit more...riders 200lbs and less will also see benefits but not huge ones. I ran 22/38 gearing on my 08 RTX last season and it didn't work out so well...I'm also 230lbs. My buddy tried 22/38 this season, same sled but with Star Suspension 128 relocate kit which give him a better approach angle...he says he's seeing 112-113mph now where as he saw 101 mph before. Gearing is very hit and miss on Nytros. Do a search and you'll see alot of guys that made no gains.

couldnt agree more!!! the only way for the xtx to pull the extra gear is a power adder.. i still run stock gearing 21/39 on my mcx 270 xtx for trail riding!shaddow44 said:most guys who have geared up really haven't made huge gains...rider weight and model of Nytro are big factors.
