I finally moved over to a used 1300mile 4 stroke this winter and had a chance to ride it Sunday. i noticed when letting off the throttle that there is a lot of chain noise coming from the chaincase. having run SRX's for years and with the APEX exhaust behind you is this normal? could it be i need to adjust the chain tension? if so how much slack is there suppose to be on these? i've never had a sled with reverse either so i believe these run with more slack but thinking it might be too loose and hitting the case. the guy i bought from had it serviced at the dealer before i picked it up and i'm thinking they might either have not adjusted it or did and it's too loose.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
love the sled so far, can't wait to give it a good run on the trails

The reverse will give you more chaincase noise. Had the same problem when I shifted from a non reverse Vmax to a 02 Viper with reverse. Just like in your old SRX, the chain adjuster should be finger tight, backed off 1/2 a turn and then locked into that position.
