the key here IMO is 100% synthetic....dont think brands matter as much as type.

I use REDLINE shockproof lightweight chain lube...like it alot.

Daranello same stuff I get from my Yami dealer. I've been using it for years. Put it in before I rode the sled and have had no problems with it. Will check the weight next time I go in the garage.

I have been using Mobile 1 Synthetic 75W90 gear oil. I can pick it up at any of the brand name auto parts stores here in town. I think this stuff is 100% synthetic. So is there anything on the market that is proven to be more effective and thats is also priced about the same or a little more??

So I guess its safe to run then??? Wonder if the chain will run cooler with the higher weight
Unless the chaincase is running at an obscene temperature, you're wasting your money on 75W140. No, it won't hurt to run the 75W140 but you won't gain anything either. The 140 was developed for running in more late model differentials that don't get the cooling they use to see and therefore their temperatures sky-rocketed. And it won't run cooler using 75W140.
