I had a good wipe out hit some ice, track was flying then stopped as it hit ice ridge. Now I have play in the chaincase, or seems that I do. The secondary seems to turn approx 3/4" inch before tension starts in chaincase, it actually clunks when you start off. I took the chaincase apart, the gears seems fine some wear on the lower outer gear and the chain seems fine (possibly stretched? I will replace regardless). The play seem to be in the lower gear on the driveshaft. It moves back and forth approx 1/4" or so giving me the clunk (reverse chaincase), looking at the gears it seems like it's designed to move like that? Or is the lower gear damaged and needing replacing? Anyone with some experience with this???

The play may be normal but the clunking you mentioned would scare me...Is it possible that when she rolled the drive shaft got tweaked? Hope that's not it.

There is a definite clunk, I was wondering if the jackshaft or driveshaft has a twist......? The chaincase gears/chain seem in sync, not sure how to confirm the jackshaft or driveshaft are twisted?

That makes 2 of us...I'm sure there's a calibration tool that can do that but it's beyond me.
