Changing handelbars

I am looking to but the mountain handelbar on my phazer mtx (the bar with hooks and a 3" higher hight)

Is there anyone who has changed handelbars and have some tips for the installation, is it difficult? Never changed handelbars myself before..

I haven't changed handlebars but I did add 2" to my riser and if you go 3" you will need to extend your throttle cable for sure.

I put Lake Effect's 2.5" riser on and I did not need a longer cable, you might need one for 3".

I did have to re route the cable under the bars as opposed to over like they come stock.
