Is it possible to change Hyfax on an 06 apex gt without rear skid removal.

You may need to "notch" out 2 of the windows in the track.....staggerd of course.........then get the slides pulled out a few (4"-6") inches.......put the machine in reverse and hit the gas! Pulls them right out for you! I do mine 1 slide at a time, when putting the sled in reverse and hitting the gas.

Then put your new ones on.........after you find the windows in the track you notched out!!

Good Luck! ;)!

Yes, they do squeeze through the windows, make sure to clean up your rails before installing the new set, a lite coating of lube helps to slide them on also

no need to cut windows-spray some silicone or grease on the inside and outside of window and shell slide right through-do not use a wd40 type lube though-silicone grease is best
also drill a bunch of tiny holes down the slides for better resistance to melting them

We used to this on our drag sleds, but found that for trail use a lot a grit gets inside of those divits and caused pre-mature track clip wear.
